HOW TO DO OPEN WINGED EYELINER

IN THREE STEPS
For a big night out, nothing summons evening magic better than a big wing of black eyeliner. But—this is the holiday season. A time when you up the glamour stakes and do something a bit more special! That’s why this evening open winged liner look is so fabulous. It’s as easy to do as a traditional eyeliner look, but with an unusual twist that pops.
  1. HOW TO DO OPEN WINGED LINER STEP 1: CREATE AN EYESHADOW BASE

Create a soft base of color on lids by blending a pale candy pink eyeshadow shade over the entire area. Pull color into the inner corners of eyes and up past the crease.

  2. HOW TO DO OPEN WINGED LINER STEP 2: CREATE A WINGED EYE

Now, draw a clean line of black eyeliner along the top lash line, extending dramatically at the outer corners of eyes. Create a bold, exaggerated shape by defining the inner corners of eyes with liner, too. Finally, line the inner and outer edges of the lower lash line only, leaving a gap in the center.

  3. HOW TO DO OPEN WINGED LINER STEP 3: FILL IN THE GAPS

Take the same shade that you applied to lids and gently pat color in the gap on your lower lash line.
