Keep It Together. Bring in Wide-Set Eyes

Insiders use these makeup tricks to create the illusion of closer-set eyes. But now you can crack the color code.

  • Start with a light eye shadow all over the eyelid. Use the shadow to highlight the browbone to help lift the eye.
  • Go bold with dark shadow to emphasize your eye crease. Focus the application on the inner corner of your eye crease. To avoid elongating your eye, don’t extend the darker shade past the outer edge. Blend well, especially at the outer edge of your eye to create balance. Try Expert Wear Shadow.
  • Define upper lash line with a thin eye liner like Line Stylist. Don’t drag the line past the outer edge of your eye.
  • De-emphasize the lower lash line for more lift to the eye. Skip eye liner along this lash line and only use a light coat of mascara.
  • Curl lashes to help lift the eye upward. Keep boosting the lift with two coats of Sky High Mascara on upper lashes.
