  | SHAPE AND PREP NAILS Remove any old polish, then thoroughly wash your hands and underneath your nails. Cut and file your nails to your desired length and shape. File nails with smooth, long strokes from one edge to the center and then from the other edge back to the center. To determine the best shape for your nails, look to the natural shape of your nail bed.
Gently push back your cuticles. Then buff your nails to create a smooth surface that will extend the wear of your polish. Use short, gentle strokes and buff in one direction only. Finally, give nails a swipe of nail polish remover to clean up any debris, creams or oils from the prep process. |
  | APPLY BASE Apply a clear base coat over your clean, dry nails to prevent discoloration and to prolong the life of your polish. Let nails dry before applying color. |
